John and Mary Jean, with Campus Crusade for Christ, have served in South Africa since the early 1970’s  Currently, John’s main work is the HIV/Aids CROSSROADS program which teaches character development and spiritual foundations to the youth of South Africa.  John helps to train and equip national teachers who in turn pass the message onto the youth population in a country with one of the worst HIV/AIDS problems in the world.  Through this program, the opportunity is very large to disciple teachers and to keep the churches involved in the program.  Another part of this program is training teachers to take the program into the prisons as well and the Tempelhoff’s report that the results have been stunning with the ministry multiplying within the jails themselves.  For more information on the Tempelhoff’s and Campus Crusade for Christ, visit one of these two sites.
