The mission outreach at Grace Community Bible Church is coordinated through a very active and committed mission committee. The purpose of our committee is to be obedient to the great commission given by Christ to “go and make disciples of all nations …” (Matt. 28:19); to make decisions within the parameters of the approved budget on behalf of the church regarding financial support to missionaries in the U.S. and abroad; and to have regular communication with the missionaries we support. We currently provide support for 19 missionaries serving in the U.S., Ireland, France, South Africa, Senegal, Honduras, Guatemala, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, one Communist country in SE Asia and three Muslim countries.
In addition to the missionaries above we support four missionaries working in the 10/40 window. Because of security issues, we cannot show photos or name them, but they are all working with nationals in Communist or Muslim countries. One teaches English, another couple works in the area of health care, a third family works with Muslim nationals through an international aid organization, and one works in a hospital in a Muslim country. Each of these missionaries works in an area of the world where publicly declaring faith in Jesus Christ is not safe. They all have long-term plans to build relationships and trust, and then to teach and train the nationals who are moved by the Holy Spirit to accept the Gospel.
