How to Know God

Without apology, we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who, long
Ago, died on a cross for us sinners and was then raised bodily from the dead.  We also believe that all who place their trust in Christ are forgiven of their sin and receive the gift of eternal life

Some Scriptures might be helpful in clarifying our understanding of how a person comes to know God personally through faith in His Son:

God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us sinners.
Romans 5: 8 (NIV)
John 3: 16, 17 (NIV)

Belief (faith, trust) in Christ (who He is and all that He’s done) is what God requires of us.
John 5: 24 (NIV)

Forgiveness and Rightstanding before God is possible only through Jesus Christ.
Acts 4: 12 (NIV)

Each of us must individually and willfully receive Jesus Christ as our Savior from sin and its consequences.
John 1: 12 (NIV)
Ephesians 2: 8, 9 (NIV)

As people who have trusted in Jesus Christ as our Savior, we are not ashamed of this message of love, forgiveness, and hope.  In fact, we delight in sharing with all who will hear that this is God’s “good news” to the world.
